Last winter, Brock Crouch (Mammoth Mountain, CA) burst on to the international snowboarding scene with a World Cup win at the Olympic test event in PyeongChang, South Korea. But Crouch is trading his snowboard for a surfboard next week to compete at the 2016 International Surfing Association (ISA) World Junior Surfing Championships in Azores, Portugal.

Born and raised in Carlsbad, CA, Crouch grew up with the beach in his backyard. His family moved up to Mammoth Mountain for the winter months so he could work on his snowboarding, but Crouch has consistently spent his summers surfing since he was 12 years old.

“I just love being at the beach and in the ocean,” said Crouch. “If you’re having a bad day, you can just head down to the beach and surf with your friends. It’s a great community.”

New Hampshire native Nora Healey started snowboarding when she was just 8 years old; the following year she started competing in her local New Hampshire USASA series and hasn't looked back since.

With roots in the Southwest Freeride Series, Healey has been steadily climbing the competitive ranks since 2011. She first competed on the U.S. Revolution Tour in 2014 and hit her first podium there in 2015 (second at Seven Springs and Mammoth). That year she truly made her mark when she won slopestyle at the FIS Junior World Championships in Yabuli, China.

LOS ANGELES, CA (July 14, 2016) – Jamie Anderson (South Lake Tahoe, CA) took home an ESPY Award Wednesday night for Best Female Action Sports Athlete.

This season, Anderson boasted a win at the Burton US Open in Slopestyle, a silver medal at the X Games slopestyle and a win at the Olympic test event in PyeongChang, Korea. Add to that her titles as the 2016 FIS World Cup slopestyle champion and World Snowboarding Federation’s World Championship titles in slope and big air, it’s apparent why she won the ESPY.

Athletes  »  Judd Henkes

Judd Henkes absolutely stunned the industry when he made the 2016 US Open halfpipe final at just 14 years of age. It wasn't even the fact that he made the final, it was the amplitude, style and poise that he showed on the big stage against the world's most elite pros.

From the beach city of La Jolla, CA, Henkes rides and trains at Mammoth Mountain. With succes on the U.S. Revolution Tour and at USASA Nationals, look for Henke to make a bid for a spot on the 2018 Olympic team for the United States.
