PARK CITY, UT (Jan. 23, 2017) - All systems are go as Utah's snow-blanketed Olympic venues get ready to welcome the world for the International Ski Federation's USANA FIS Nordic Junior World Championships and U23 Cross Country World Championships January 30-February 5. Over the past week, FIS-appointed officials have reviewed snow conditions at both the Utah Olympic Park and Soldier Hollow and given the formal go ahead.

Snow control is a routine part of all FIS competitions worldwide. With the heavy blanketing of snow across the entire Wasatch Range, conditions are excellent for the weeklong World Championships.

In the past month, both the Utah Olympic Park ski jumps and Soldier Hollow Nordic Center cross country venues have played host to very successful test events.

Over 500 athletes from nearly 40 nations are expected to compete.
