USSA Names New Trustees

PARK CITY, UT (March 26) – The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation has named new members to its Board of Trustees. Joining the Board are Austin Beutner (Los Angeles), Andrew Davis (Santa Fe) and Danielle Virtue (Rye, NY). Additionally, Shelby Davis (Wilson, WY, and Tuxedo Park, NY), who joined the Board of Trustees in 2010, is being named as an Emeritus Trustee. Each individual brings a wealth of experiences to the Board.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation has added new members to its Board of Trustees.
  • Austin Beutner (Los Angeles), Andrew Davis (Santa Fe) and Danielle Virtue (Rye, NY) are joining the Board of Trustees. Additionally, Shelby Davis (Wilson, WY, and Tuxedo Park, NY) is joining the Foundation as an Emeritus Trustee.
  • Austin Beutner is the Chairman and Founder of Vision To Learn. He is the retired co-CEO and co-Founder of Evercore Partners. He has also served in several public sector roles including most recently as First Deputy Mayor of Los Angeles. He skis out of Mammoth Mountain and is the Founder and Chairman of the Mammoth Mountain Community Foundation.
  • Andrew Davis, a graduate of Colby College, joins the Board with more than 27 years of experience in investment management and securities analysis. Prior to joining Davis Selected Advisers, L.P. in 1993, Mr. Davis was Vice President of PaineWebber Incorporated in charge of the closed-end fund research and convertible securities research departments. He skis out of Taos, NM.
  • Danielle Virtue graduated from Middlebury College, where she was the captain of the women’s ski team. She also brings a wealth of business experiences with her, having worked for AIG, Integrated Resources and Sotheby's. She skis out of Stowe, VT.
  • Shelby Davis, who joined the Foundation Board of Trustees in 2010, has had a long career in finance, working with the Bank of New York. Mr. Davis is also a former Trustee of Princeton University, his alma mater.

The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation is the non-profit fundraising arm of the U.S. Ski Team, U.S. Snowboarding and U.S. Freeskiing. Incorporated in 1964 as a 501(c)3, the Foundation raises money to support year-round athlete training, development, competition and educational needs. Donations to the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team Foundation are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law.
