WHISTLER/BLACKCOMB, Canada (April 14, 2015) – Bobby Brown (Denver, CO), Annalisa Drew (Andover, MA) and Torin Yater-Wallace (Aspen, CO) all claimed World Championships titles at Whistler’s Association of Freeskiing Professionals (AFP) World Championships. Lyman Currier (Boulder, CO), McRae Williams (Park City, UT) and Devin Logan (West Dover, VT) also grabbed podium spots.

Brown kicked off the winning streak, nabbing the top spot in men’s slopestyle finals landing his second and final run complete with a super smooth double cork 1080 mute on the first jump. Teammate Williams, who was just a .55 points shy of Brown’s winning score, grabbed the second spot with a pair of back-to-back switch double cork 1080s on the last two jumps.

“To come out here and finish the season on a strong note, it’s pretty cool,” said Brown, who has been on a roll since his win at the Simon Dumon Invitational. “The level of riding is just insane at every contest these days—especially here at the World Champs, it’s unreal.”

Yater-Wallace, who’s been out of the halfpipe since February, put down two 90-point runs in halfpipe to take his second win of the season, finishing just ahead of fellow Olympian Currier. New Zealander Byron Wells took third for the men.

On the women’s side, Drew, who’s been competing all season despite a broken collarbone suffered just before X Games, walked away with her best result of her season—landing a alley-oop flatspin 540 to 900 combination to take the halfpipe World Championships title. Canadian Keltie Hansen took second and Devin Logan earn third in halfpipe.

Logan also walked away with the overall AFP World Title along with Gus Kenworthy for the men. David Wise (Reno, NV) claimed the AFP Halfpipe World Title and Williams won the AFP Slopestyle World Title.
