Seven Springs Mountain Resort, PA (Jan. 28, 2014)—U.S. Freeskiing Rookie Team rider Birk Irving (Winter Park, CO) reigned supreme at the second stop of the U.S. Revolution Tour, winning both the men’s halfpipe and slopestyle competitions at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, PA. Carly Margulies (Mammoth Lakes, CA) took home top honors in the women’s halfpipe competition and Kathryn Alexander (S.Lake Tahoe, CA) won women’s slopestyle.

15-year-old Irving dominated Seven Springs’ 22-foot halfpipe, putting down the two highest scores of the day and landing a switch cork 900 for the first time. Alexander landed right and left 360s to take home her second U.S. Revolution Tour slopestyle win. The Rev Tour continues February 8-11 at Mammoth Mountain, CA.

QUOTES
Birk Irving, Men’s halfpipe and slopestyle winner
It’s crazy to think about sweeping pipe and slope, because last year I was just doing 360s. This year, just being able to put down a run and contend with all the other athletes is just crazy.

Carly Margulies, Women’s halfpipe winner
I felt pretty confident with my run. I was happy with the pipe—it was shaped really well, no snow in the flat bottom, no wind. I was stoked.
