BIOGRAPHY
Growing up in Berkeley, California, Keith Moffat headed to Squaw Valley with his family on weekends where skiing with the Mighty Mites turned into a ski racing career. Using skiing icon Shane McConkey and Squaw hero and World Cup winner Marco Sullivan as role models, Moffat made the U.S. Development Team in 2009 and continues to charge up the pipeline.

Following a summer of recovery from a torn ACL (Feb. 4, 2011), Moffat eased his way through the 2012 winter with a very light race schedule and a very heavy workout and rehabilitation plan.

KEITH SAYS
I didn't want to push things along too fast until I knew by body could handle speed again. I've seen a lot of people try and come back quickly and it ended up actually slowing them down even more. I'm feeling good about the decision and ready to really fire next winter.

FIRST TRACKS
On skis at two-and-a-half, Moffat grew up driving to Tahoe on weekends with his family. By the time he was 6, he was one of Squaw’s indomitable Mighty Mites, where he competed with fellow U.S. Ski Team member Nick Daniels to be the first up the KT-22 chair on a powder day. By the time he was 8, he was charging as a J5 with the Squaw Valley Ski Team, chasing Marco Sullivan. "Marco was the guy and still is. It was cool being around him at Squaw."

OFF THE SNOW
Moffat is big into soccer and even though his commitment to ski racing prevented him from ever playing for his high school team, he was recruited to play at Dartmouth. Older brother Corey was a ski patroller at the Middlebury Snow Bowl in Vermont and younger brother Kye is a J2 racer at Squaw Valley.
