After Caitlin Gregg’s historic bronze medal at the 2015 World Championships in Falun, Sweden affirmed years of national level racing and an ambitious racing plan, Gregg finally made her official debut on the U.S. Ski Team during the 2015-16 season. Gregg snatched a spot in the top 20 in a 15k freestyle race in Davos, Switzerland and completed the grueling seven-stage 2016 Tour de Ski. After the Tour, Gregg re-evaluated her racing plan and headed back to the U.S. for rest so she could return strong for the Ski Tour Canada. Resting paid off, as she claimed 19th in a 10k freestyle race in Canmore, Alberta.

FIRST TRACKS
Gregg grew up in New York City – not a conventional spot for a World Championship medalist! But she left NYC for Duxbury, VT and started racing cross country in high school. There her high school coach taught her that hard work could be a lot of fun and trump talent alone.

OFF THE SNOW
Outside of training and racing, Gregg volunteers with the Boys and Girls Club of America, Girls on the Run, Fast and Female, In The Arena, the Loppet Foundation and Special Olympics Minnesota. She and her husband, fellow cross country Olympian Brian Gregg, are also restoring a home while they pursue their Olympic dreams. In the future, she’d like to start a family and study architecture in grad school.
