Growing up in Wyoming, Anna Marno has her dad, a former coach and racer to thank for introducing her to the slopes at Snowy Range. It didn't take her long to get fast, and she qualified for U.S. Championships when she was a first-year J2. In 2009m she got an invite to the U.S. Development Team. She's now a World Cup regular.

Marno tasted World Cup points for the first time at Cortina d'Ampezzo in 2016 when she finished 30th and surprised everyone, including herself, by capping off the season with her first national title at Sun Valley, ID in super G, over teammate Laurenne Ross. Marno will look to carry that momentum over to the 2017 season and over to the World Cup circuit once again. Go Anna!

FIRST TRACKS
“I learned to ski as soon as I could walk. With my dad as my coach and the ski area as my second home, I never so much as considered a different path. I had a hard time adjusting to the warm months without snow, to compensate I named my animals after ski racing legends. Herman, Bode, Picabo, and Tomba lived happily in our barn.

In search of bigger mountains and a larger community, we moved to Steamboat Springs, CO in 2004. In Steamboat I continued to pursue ski racing, graduated High School from the Lowell Whiteman School and was named to the US Ski Team in 2009.”

OFF THE SNOW
When not skiing, Marno will be the one rocking the flower-print hat that looks like it was bought at a truck stop in North Dakota. Ask her the story behind that one. Her summertime is all about kicking back in the mountains and riding horses.
