USSA National Club Day 2015

The second annual USSA National Club Day recognized over 400 USSA clubs in 30 states. The day was kicked off by an international crowd of over 20,000 strong at the Alpine World Championships in Vail/Beaver Creek!

USSA President and CEO rang the bell for all clubs at an international press conference.

Mikaela Shiffrin honored National Club Day by winning the World Championship GOLD! And she shared these words...

This all generated some interest and Universal Sports wanted to know more...

While this generated some much needed exposure for USSA Clubs on a national and even international level, the most important aspect of National Club Day is to value and bring recognition to all the things clubs do on a day-to-day basis in all USSA sports helping athletes have the best experiences possible and reach their ultimate athletic potential. That takes a concerted effort by Clubs, Parents, Coaches, Officials, USSA and its partners, and of course the ATHLETES! Here are some other scenes of what happened on National Club Day across the country...

On National Club day there were over 45 events hosted in 16 States from entry level to these World Championships in Vail-Beaver Creek, in addition to hundreds of regular training sessions. This included events sanctioned by the United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association (USASA) with whom USSA partners for youth snowboarding and freeskiing development. USSA clubs and partner resorts host these events providing competition in cross country skiing and ski jumping, alpine ski racing, snowboarding, freestyle skiing, and freeskiing for thousands of young athletes.
