This Kinesiology course is one of four Alpine Level 300 supplementary courses to the on-snow clinics. It focuses on relevant areas for the ski coach in the subjects of anatomy, biomechanics, and the physics of skiing.
The exam covers important training, technique, equipment, performance psychology and competition topics for coaches, with a focus on an age-appropriate approach based on long-term athlete development as described in the USSA Cross Country Training System.
The second level of moguls coach education. Includes the Freestyle Moguls Level 200 manual, Level 100 and 200 fundamentals drills videos, Level 200 classroom presentation and the Level 200 moguls exam.
The Level 100 Aerial Clinic provides the building blocks of aerial acrobatics on skis. The Level 100 Aerial Clinic focuses on progressions and fundamentals in trampoline, water ramp and snow jumping to safely coach entry level acrobatic maneuvers. This clinic will aid coaches in teaching athletes the skills necessary to progress safely and quickly.
The Level 100 Aerial Clinic is one of the required certifications for all coaches interested in taking the level 200 Aerial Clinic.
