SIERRA NEVADA, Spain (March 23) - USSA TEAM Academy athlete and rookie team member Alexi Micinski (Meridian, ID) took her first career victory at the World Cup slopestyle final on Saturday. Julia Marino (Boulder, CO) took second while rookie team member Lyman Currier (Boulder, CO) also took his career first victory in the men’s final. At the conclusion of the windy event, the World Cup slopestyle title and crystal globe were awarded to U.S. Freeskiing veteran Keri Herman (Breckenridge, CO). Herman was injured and was not present at the event. The Freestyle Ski World Cup Finals at Sierra Nevada continue Sunday with skicross finals and on Monday with halfpipe finals.

- It was Herman’s first World Cup title after getting second place in the AFP slopestyle standings in 2011 and 2009 as well as an overall third in 2012. Herman competes in both slopestyle and halfpipe.

- Winds, intermittent snow and low visibility added an element of difficulty to the venue at Sierra Nevada.
