Noah Wallace 2nd in Slopestyle Finale

SILVAPLANA, Switzerland (March 22) – U.S. athlete Noah Wallace (Spokane, WA) landed second place Saturday in the final FIS Freestyle slopestyle skiing World Cup of the 2013-14 season. His first run score of 83.60 put him just behind Swiss skier Jesper Tjader, who took the day’s victory as well as the 2014 World Cup slopestyle title.

• U.S. athlete Noah Wallace (Spokane, WA) landed second place Saturday in the final FIS Freestyle slopestyle skiing World Cup of the 2013-14 season.
• Wallace’s first run score of 83.60 put him just behind Swiss skier Jesper Tjader, who took the day’s victory as well as the 2014 World Cup slopestyle title. Christian Nummedal of Norway finished third during Saturday’s competition.
• Before Saturday Tjader was tied for first in the season-long standings with Olympic bronze medalist Nick Goepper (Lawrenceburg, IN), but since Goepper did not compete in the World Cup finale, Tjader became the slopestyle champion with Goepper second on the season.
• Bobby Brown (Breckenridge, CO) ended the season ranked third after his win at the 2014 Visa U.S. Freeskiing Grand Prix at his home mountain.
• Saturday wrapped up an exhilarating season for slopestyle skiing, which saw its Olympic debut at the 2014 Sochi Games in February that resulted in a U.S. Freeskiing sweep with Joss Christensen (Park City, UT), Gus Kenworthy (Telluride, CO) and Goepper.
