Mammoth Mountain to Host U.S. Rev Tour Finale

PARK CITY, UT (March 3, 2015) – The fourth and final stop of the U.S. Revolution Tour has been rescheduled and moved from Mt. Hood Meadows, OR to Mammoth Mountain, CA Mar. 17-20. Mammoth, hosted a successful third stop of the U.S. Revolution tour and will have their world class Main Park slopestyle course and 22ft halfpipe on point for the tour finale. Jake Pates (Eagle, CO), Maddie Mastro (Wrightwood, CA), Birk Irving (Winter Park, CO) and Willie Borm will all be looking to take home the Rev Tour title and a piece of the $67,000 total tour prize purse.

MAMMOTH MOUNTAIN HIGHLIGHTS

  • History: Mammoth Mountain has a long and legendary competitive snowboarding history, hosting ten years of Grand Prix events and serving as the naming site for both the 1998 and 2014 Olympic snowboarding teams. This will be the second year of six that Mammoth will host the U.S. Revolution Tour. 
  • Unbound: Mammoth features the famed Unbound Terrain Parks – that’s 11 parks, hundreds of features, three halfpipes and some of the best jumps in the world.
  • Elevation: At 11,053 feet, Mammoth boasts the highest summit of any California resort, making for deeper, higher quality snow, beautiful views and a season that can last until July. 

 

REVOLUTION TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

  • Prize Purse: The Rev Tour has doubled its prize purse for the 2014-15 season for a total purse of $67,000.
  • Sanctioning: The Rev Tour will be a World Snowboard Tour National Level event as well as an AFP Silver Level event.
  • Sport Development: The U.S. Revolution Tour started in 2003 to bridge the gap from grassroots competition to the elite level, and it works. 2014 Olympic Champions Sage Kotsenburg, Maddie Bowman and Kaitlyn Farrington have all used the Rev Tour as a steppingstone to launch their successful careers.
