Logan Claims Top Spot in Dew Tour

SNOWBASIN, UT (Feb. 11) — Devin Logan (West Dover, VT) won women's halfpipe on the Dew Tour in Snowbasin, Utah while claiming the Dew Tour Cup. She was also named the tour's Paul Mitchell Breakout Athlete of the Year for her consistent podiums throughout the Dew Tour. Newly named to the U.S. Freeskiing Team, Maddie Bowman (South Lake Tahoe, CA) was third, continuing her consistent podium showings.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Devin Logan (West Dover, VT) won the Dew Tour ski halfpipe and secured the Dew Tour Cup.
  • Logan was named the Paul Mitchell Breakout Athlete of the Year for the Dew Tour.
  • Maddie Bowman (South Lake Tahoe, CA) placed third after being recently named to the U.S. Freeskiing Team.
  • Devin Logan also led slope semifinals held earlier in the day.
  • Maddie Bowman came into the event ranked first overall.
  • Brita Sigourney had great amplitude, but couldn't put a run together and she ended up in sixth.
  • Next up the halfpipe athletes head to Mammoth Mountain, CA for the Sprint U.S. Grand Prix taking place February 29 - March 3.

I knew I was in contention for the Dew Cup and just had to come out and put down the best run I could. I had slope this morning, so I was a bit tired, but I got some energy, found some deep down and ended up doing it, so I’m thrilled.
