Jackson, WY (May 25, 2016) – U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) Director of Sport Education Brian Krill will be departing the organization to take on a new role as Executive Director of the Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club. He will fill the vacancy created by Carrie Boyton’s departure in 2015. Krill will transition this summer from the USSA to the Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard Club before assuming his new duties in Wyoming in August.

In just over three years with the USSA, Krill has been instrumental in various aspects of the USSA’s Sport Education programs. He first served as Club Development Manager where he developed and deployed USSA’s club development program, including a new model for club certification. Thirty-six clubs have participated in the program to date, and equally as many are using the process and resources to guide their club toward improvement and eventual certification. Krill was promoted to Director of Sport Education in 2015 where he continued to oversee club development and certification, coach education and the annual Club Excellence Conference.

“The energy and dedication that Brian has put in to create educational resources for our clubs and coaches and help them establish best practices and principles at their home hills has been outstanding,” said USSA President and CEO Tiger Shaw. “The Jackson Ski & Snowboard club is a strong USSA program and the work Brian has done at USSA will help bring the club to the next level.”

The sport education and club development programs put in place by Krill will continue after his departure. There are several clubs on deck to complete the club certification process in the 2016-17 season.

“My time with USSA has been inspiring, and I am very proud of the work that we all did to further establish club development at USSA during a critical phase” said Krill. “I’m looking forward to staying in the USSA family, remaining active with various USSA programs and focusing on the club, athletes, coaches and parents in Jackson.”

The USSA is currently accepting applications to fill the Director of Sport Education position. Interested parties should send their resume to humanresources@ussa.org.
