Keaton McCargo takes Junior Worlds Win

VALMALENCO, ITALY (March 27) – Keaton McCargo (Telluride, CO) won gold in moguls at the Junior World Championships in Valmalenco, Italy. The tough conditions and steep course lent itself to McCargo's strengths as a consistent skier. Fellow U.S. athlete Kaitlyn Harrell (Westminster, CO) earned the third place spot. U.S. athletes will stick around for the dual moguls event on Saturday.

  • McCargo threw a 360 on the top air and a back lay out on the bottom air
  • Junior World Championships are an important event for athletes aged 17 and under

  • McCargo's strong skiing earned her, her first World Cup starts this season

I didn’t expect this win at all but i'm very, very happy with the way the day turned out. Valmalenco is a great place to ski it's really pretty and the site was really great so i'm walking away super happy.
