TRONDHEIM, Norway (March 15) – Sarah Hendrickson (Park City, UT) jumped to win her third World Cup of the season Friday, using her superior telemark style to beat out Japanese rival Sara Takanashi. Hendrickson jumped to 101.5 and was in the lead after the first round when she jumped 101 meters and sealed the victory with 283 points. The team competes Sunday in Oslo for the World Cup Finals, when the top 30 women jumpers take on the large hill at Holmenkollen for the first time in history.

I was missing rhythm in the trial jump. I changed one thing for the first round and I was surprised how much height I had in the first round. I knew it had worked and needed to do that in the second round too. The change I had to make had to do with the balance in my in-run.
I didn't feel the pressure here because I just came here to compete like any other World Cup weekend. I was a little nervous but I wanted to have fun and remember why I am here.
Getting to jump the Holmenkollen will be a big step for us. Coming off today's competition - as it was so strong and so competitive - people are going to love it in Oslo.

It was a pretty perfect day yesterday and today, which allowed for the jury to have a great comp and jump far and safe. It was one of the best competitions we've had this far from all of the jumpers.
My training has been getting better over the past month to month and a half. It's been great to have really good jumps today and feel good after the comp is over.

I'm very excited because I'm very capable of having two good jumps in competition. I was looking forward to and optimistic about the Trondheim and Oslo comp - they are great venues and the crowds come out.
It's frustrating because I was so close to the podium, but at the same time it makes me really hungry for Oslo. It's there. I know it's there. I had good style today, which helped me with points.
