Fletchers Lead USA in Schonach

SCHONACH, Germany (Jan. 6) - Bryan Fletcher (Steamboat Springs, CO) jumped to 11th and led the U.S. Ski Team in 22nd overall at a FIS Nordic Combined World Cup in Schonach. France's Jason Lamy Chappuis won by 1.9 seconds over Japan's Akito Watabe. Bryan's brother Taylor had the fifth fastest cross country time to finish 26th. The nordic combined tour now heads for Chaux-Neuve, France for a pair of events next weekend.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Bryan Fletcher (Steamboat Springs, CO) was 11th in jump and 22nd overall in a FIS Nordic Combined World Cup in Schonach. 
  • Taylor Fletcher (Steamboat Springs, CO) moved up from 48th in the jump with the fifth fastest cross country time to finish 26th.
  • Todd Lodwick (Steamboat Springs, CO) was 32nd while Billy Demong (Vermontville, NY) failed to qualify.
  • Saturday, the four skiers combined for a first-ever U.S. World Cup team podium, finishing third.
  • The tour now heads to Chaux-Neuve, France.
