QUOTES

Luke Bodensteiner, Executive Vice President of Athletics, USSA
As a U.S. Ski Team alum, Doug Lewis has done an amazing job with ELITEAM in providing motivation for hundreds of aspiring Olympians. The USSA is happy to have ELITEAM back in Park City for a second year. It is a great opportunity for young athletes to experience our national team environment at the Center of Excellence with a program that incorporates the expertise of our national team high performance staff.

Doug Lewis
This is my passion - helping young athletes achieve breakthroughs both physically and mentally at camp. At ELITEAM, my aim is to pass along real-world tools and teach skills that will help them be more complete athletes and ultimately go faster on the hill. By creating challenging situations and giving them the tools and support needed to push through them, that is when we see the greatest gains and biggest smiles. This age group (8-14), is the perfect time to plant the seeds about hard work, eating to perform and pursuing goals. Everyone practices carving the ski, but at their age they also need to work on the physical, nutritional and mental skills so they can make that carved turn and do it when it counts on race day. It is so fulfilling to me to see a camper build confidence in themselves by pushing through perceived limits and achieving a personal best at camp.

ELITEAM Parent
One tell tale sign of how good a camp is for your kids is their reaction when you pick them up. When we arrived at the USSA building for pick up, our kids didn’t want to leave! Doug and Kelley run a first class camp for young skiers and having accress to the USSA and its staff made it an educational and inspirational experience for our kids.
