TRONDHEIM, Norway (Mar. 6) – U.S. Nordic veteran Billy Demong (Vermontville, NY) charged from behind to finish 10th in the individual 10k Gundersen World Cup on Thursday. Demong jumped into 20th and then put down the fourth fastest cross country time of the day to move up ten spots. Teammate Taylor Fletcher (Steamboat Springs, CO) won the fastest time of the day on the 10k course to finish 23rd, while Johannes Rydzek of Germany took the victory. The athletes head to another individual 10k Gundersen World Cup on the legendary Holmenkollen hill in Oslo on Saturday.

Demong jumped into 20th and then put down the fourth fastest cross country time of the day to move up ten spots and close a gap of nearly a minute on the hard-packed course.
Teammate Taylor Fletcher (Steamboat Springs, CO) posted the fastest time of the day by an impressive four seconds, while he cut his margin by 1:07 and finished 23rd after jumping into 47th.
Johannes Rydzek of Germany took the victory with local athletes Joergen Graabak and Magnus Moan in second and third.
The athletes head to another individual 10k Gundersen World Cup on the legendary Holmenkollen hill in Oslo on Saturday.
