Big Finishes for USA in Ljubno Jump

LJUBNO, Slovenia (Feb. 18) - Sarah Hendrickson (Park City, UT) led a day of big finishes for the USA in the final weekend of jumping before the opening of the FIS Nordic Ski World Championships in Italy. All five U.S. women finished in the top 13. Japan's Sara Takanashi, the World Cup leader, took the win. A final World Cup is set for Sunday before the World Championships in Val di Fiemme.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Sarah Hendrickson (Park City, UT) finished second in a FIS Ski Jumping World Cup in Slovenia for her seventh podium of the year.
  • It was a strong day for the USA five athletes in the top 13.
  • Jessica Jerome was sixth, Lindsey Van eighth, Alissa Johnson 12th and Abby Hughes (all of Park City, UT) 13th.
  • The USA continues to lead the Nations Cup with Slovenia second with only three events left in the World Cup season.
