Park City, UT (Mar. 4, 2015) – Ten U.S. Rookie team riders, including three-time U.S. Revolu-tion Tour halfpipe winner Maddie Mastro (Wrightwood, CA), will lead a team of 30 riders competing at the 2015 FIS Junior World Championships March 8-16 in Yabuli, China. Every athlete on the 2015 Junior Worlds team came through the USASA system, with the vast majority riders getting their competitive start in the sport in the Mammoth Unbound Series and the Rocky Mountain Series.

“This is biggest and most talented team we’ve ever sent to Junior Worlds,” said U.S. Snow-boarding director Jeremy Forster. “We’ve got an amazing crew of athletes and coaches heading to China representing the U.S. which is very exciting for the future of the sport”

U.S. Rookie Team slopestyle and halfpipe coaches, Dave Reynolds and Spencer Tamblyn, will lead an dynamic team of coaches including Carrabasset Valley Academy’s program director Mike Mallon, Team Park City United’s lead snowboardcross coach Jon Casson, Auburn Ski Club’s Snowboard program director Dylan Omlin and Neil Sunday, head alpine coach at Ski Round Top Racing Club.

Yabuli is slated to host the 2016 World Snowboard Tour World Championships and will be using the 2015 Junior World Championships as a test event.
