The 2014 Pop-Tarts U.S. Revolution Tour Wraps Up in Sun Valley

SUN VALLEY, ID (March 11) – The Pop-Tarts U.S. Revolution Tour ended with a bang this week as snowboarding concluded its final events of the season at Sun Valley Resort. Maddie Mastro (Wrightwood, CA) and Alex Kondo (Malone, WI) won the women’s and men’s halfpipe events Thursday, with Mastro also locking up the women’s overall halfpipe title. Jake Pates (Eagle, CO) became the men’s halfpipe champion after strong performances early on in the Tour. Friday was all about slopestyle as Haillie Soderholm (Savage, MN) and Jack Herald (Park City, UT) won the women’s and men’s competitions. Herald also landed the overall slopestyle title, while Hailey Langland (San Clemente, CA) earned the women’s crown. This week concludes Rev Tour action for 2014.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Maddie Mastro (Wrightwood, CA) won the women’s halfpipe competition with an 81.50. Following Mastro were Hailey Langland (San Clemente, CA) in second, and Kirby Kelly (Alqonquin, IL) in third.
  • Mastro’s winning run: Method, frontside tail, backside mute, double tail, stalefish and a 720 crippler.
  • With the win, Mastro secured the Rev Tour women’s overall halfpipe crown.
  • Alex Kondo (Malone, WI) took the men’s halfpipe win with a 91.00, while Toby Miller (Truckee, CA) and Quinton Jones (Frisco, CO) rounded out the podium.
  • Kondo’s winning run: frontside 1080 tail, cab 720, 540 crippler, method, frontside 900 and a backside 540.
  • Jake Pates (Eagle, CO) became the men’s overall halfpipe champion after strong performances early on in the Tour.
  • Haillie Soderholm (Savage, MN) earned the women’s slopestyle win with an 83.75, as Hailee Mattingley (Sandy, UT) took second, and Danika Duffy (Manhattan Beach, CA) third.
  • Soderholm’s winning run: 270 boardslide, cab 540, front 360, 50/50 and a front 180.
  • Hailey Langland (San Clemente, CA) came away with the Rev Tour women’s overall slopestyle title.
  • Jack Herald (Park City, UT) won the men’s slopestyle competition with an 80.75, followed by Australian Declan Vogel-Paul and Jacob Aaronson (Needham, NH).
  • Herald’s winning run: switch 270 boardslide, cab 900, double cork 1080 and a frontside 270 lipslide.
  • With the win, Herald also claimed the Rev Tour men’s overall slopestyle title.
  • The slopestyle events concluded Rev Tour action for 2014. Special thanks go out to Pop-Tarts and host resorts Seven Springs Resort, Mammoth Mountain and Sun Valley Resort.
