As a young athlete from Aspen, CO, Simi Hamilton had his pick of mountain sports to pursue. An accomplished mountain biker, white water paddler, climber and ski mountaineer, Hamilton gained fitness from a wealth of activity that he put into skiing. The three-time NCAA All-American was working as an EXUM guide, leading clients up the Grand Teton when he made his move to elite racing in 2010. With two Olympics, three World Championship teams and a very notable World Cup stage win during the 2014 Lenzerheide Tour de Ski stage, as well as two podiums in the 2015-16 season, Hamilton is among the top cross country sprinters in the world, but remains on the hunt for consistency in his results. He prepares for upcoming seasons with the Stratton Mountain School Elite Team program in Stratton, VT.

FIRST TRACKS
Hamilton first started skiing when he was two. His mom attached him to a leash and let him go down the hill while she tried to keep him in control. He built his base in the Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club, starting cross country ski racing at 13—winning nine Junior Nationals titles and three Colorado state high school crowns before heading to Middlebury College.

OFF THE SNOW
Off the snow, you can find Simi on his bike as often as possible. He also enjoys climbing in Utah, Idaho, and Colorado and is always trying to find time to surf. In the spring, he can be found backcountry skiing near his family's cabin in Colorado. He has recently started to teach himself how to crotchet.
