Meg Olenick may be the kid sister of three-time Winter X gold medalist Peter Olenick, but she has a style that's all her own. The CO native has one of the strongest rail games on the women's circuit, a strength she mixes with her arsenal of stylish tricks as she lays down some of the smoothest runs in slopestyle. Though somewhat new to the sport, she has stomped podium runs at the Aspen Open in 2010 and at the final stop of the Dew Tour in 2009, all while continuing to progress the slopestyle sport. Her and a strong cast of ladies have been looking to blow the world scene wide open. Unfortunately, Olenick was plagued by a devastating knee injury in both 2011 and again in 2012. Each time she hit the gym hard in order to come back in full force the next season. In the summer of 2012, she put herself through a strong rehab program and strict on-snow training regimen. Olenick had her ticket booked and was ready to get back into some contests when she suffered yet another knee injury. Nonetheless, she is looking to persevere and get a chance to get on the Olympic team in 2014. MEG SAYS FIRST TRACKS OFF THE SNOW |
