Born and raised in Vermont and part of a highly snowboard-centric family, Luke Mitrani has blazed through the snowboarding scene for the better portion of his young life. He is known for his signature style (check out his Michalchuks) and continues to make a name for himself in the halfpipe. In 2011 he won the Dew Tour Snowbasin stop and set a new Dew Tour score record with an impressive 97 points. At only 22 years old, the world will be seeing a lot more of Mitrani in the halfpipe. Climbing the World Snowboard Tour halfpipe rankings, Mitrani made a huge jump from 21st in 2012 to fifth in 2013. With podiums at both Sprint U.S. Grand Prix’s and solid top-five finishes at the rest of the season’s contests, it was a good year for Mitrani. LUKE SAYS FIRST TRACKS OFF THE SNOW |
