Jess Breda, a Massachussetts native, was a dominating force in her breakout year during the 2011-2012 season. With three podiums and three top-ten finishes at the Revolution Tour, Breda was asked to join the U.S. Freeskiing slopestyle rookie team at the end of the season. Breda continued to excel in 2013, taking a second place at USSA Revolution Tour in Seven Springs, PA and then cracking the top 10 at the Copper Grand Prix. Heading into the 2014 Olympic season, Jess had her sights set on making the first-ever U.S. Olympic slopestyle team. Unfortunately, she suffered a season-ending concussion during a training session at Keystone before the season started, forcing her to spend the winter recovering. JESS SAYS FIRST TRACKS OFF THE SNOW In addition to her skills on snow, Breda is an accomplished scholar. She was a member of the inaugural high school graduating class of the USSA TEAM Academy, where she was able to pursue her studies while training and competing with the team. Now she takes classes at Westminster College and Utah State University through her partnership with USSA and continues to balance her education with her athletic career.
