Hannah Teter won gold in her 2006 Olympic halfpipe debut and immediately did something with it. She started Hannah's Gold maple syrup, which benefits an impoverished village in Kenya. Four years later she added silver to her collection in Vancouver and stepped up her fundraising efforts for those in need with Sweet Cheeks Panties, her sassy underwear brand that donates 40% of its proceeds to feed undernourished children around the globe through Children International.

A second-place finish at the Burton US Open in Vail in March 2013 began Teter’s full-throttle road to Sochi. She added a backside 900 to her extensive bag of tricks to start the 2014 season and landed second and third at the final two Olympic qualifiers to clinch her third U.S. Olympic Team spot. A fourth-place finish in Sochi, a mere 1.25 points shy of Kaitlyn Farrington’s gold medal run, has already fueled the fire for 2018. So be on the lookout for more big airs and stylish spins from Hannah Teter as she gears up for Pyeongchang 2018.

      FIRST TRACKS
In a family with three snowboarding brothers, the hand-me-down boarding habit was inevitable. Hannah started riding at age eight and took her first lesson at Okemo, VT, her home mountain.

      OFF THE SNOW
The bright-eyed rider lives in Tahoe, but spends a lot of time surfing in Costa Rica. Teter’s philanthropic initiatives are unparalleled in the action sports world. Her charity Hannah’s Gold has raised nearly $200,000 for an impoverished village in Kenya. Her line of underwear, Sweet Cheeks – Panties with a Purpose, raises funds for the charity partner Children International, which helps aid children living in extreme poverty.
