A dream forged nearly two years ago came true for the USA women Sunday, as they won bronze in the 4x3.3k relay at the 2017 USANA FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships at Soldier Hollow.
The U.S. U18 Team, led by Hannah Halvorsen and Daniel Streinz posted a number of top 20 results at the U18 Scandinavian Champs.
Hannah Halvorsen, Hunter Wonders and Ben Loomis finished eighth overall in Winter Youth Olympic Games 3x3.3k team race Friday.
Hannah Halvorsen and Hunter Wonders led Team USA in sixth and 15th respectively in the 1.3k classic sprint at the Youth Olympic Winter Games Tuesday.
Hunter Wonders (Anchorage, AK) and Hannah Halvorsen (Truckee, CA) have been nominated to the cross country ski team slated to compete in the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway February 12-21.

Hannah Halvorsen has seen big improvements in her endurance over the 2015-16 season, making her a threat in both distance and sprinting results. Highlighting the season, she took top 15s and a top five at the U.S. Championships and advanced to three SuperTour sprint finals, which earned her a spot to compete at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway and the U18 Scandinavian Championships in Otepaa, Estonia. Halvorsen added to these impressive results in the spring, when she sprinted to a Junior National Championship title in the freestyle sprint race. Halvorsen has proved throughout the season that she is one to watch for in the future, as she makes her debut on the U.S. Cross Country Ski Team Development Team for the 2016-17 season.
