Eric Willett put himself on the map with a silver-medal performance at his X Games debut in 2010. A Breckenridge native, Willett spent countless hours on a snowboard from a very early age, cruising the mountain with his younger brother. With a coveted spot on the Air+Style World Tour, Willett is sure to be a contender for a spot on the 2018 Olympic team when big air makes its Olympic debut in PyeongChang.

Six years after his X Games debut, Willett had a fantastic showing at X Games Aspen in 2016 against a highly competitive field. Finishing just off the podium in fourth, Willett proved that he has what it takes to go up against the best in the world. He also had a podium finish at the Mammoth stop of the U.S. Grand Prix (second) and finished in the top 10 at every stop of the Air + Style Tour.

Heading into the 2014 season, where slopestyle was scheduled to make its Olympic debut, Willet started strong with a ninth-place finish at the Breckenridge Dew Tour. On track to contend for a spot on the U.S. Olympic team, a crash at the U.S. Grand Prix a week later left him with a season-ending injury to his upper back. Willett returned to snow in 2015 and gained momentum throughout the season culminating in his first World Cup win as he led a U.S. men's slopestyle podium sweep at the Grand Prix finale in Park City, UT.

      FIRST TRACKS
Born and raised near Breckenridge, Willett's been working on his style since he was 6 years old. Nearly every day Willet and his younger brother spent time pushing each other to the next level in their riding.

      OFF THE SNOW
Willett is dedicated to riding his mountain bike, which he says is a good way to stay in shape in the offseason. Like many of his snowboarding compatriots, you can often find Willett on a skateboard and he also likes to play frisbee golf and camp. He married his wife, Candace, in 2012 and the two own a home in Breckenridge. Candace gifted Willett with a quiver of tools when the purchased the home and they have been gradually renovating, doing most of the work themselves with the help of "friends and YouTube."
