Ellery Hollingsworth has quickly established herself as a leader of snowboarding's next wave. The Stratton Mountain School graduate was the first woman to land a 1080. Then, in 2010, Hollingsworth charged with the best in the sport and narrowly missed a spot on the Olympic team. Still, she followed that up with a solid 2011 season, notching top 10 finishes on both the Grand Prix and Dew Tour circuits.

The 2012 season saw Hollingsworth on podiums at the Burton U.S. Open, Burton Canadian Open and an impressive third at the Sprint U.S. Grand Prix.

Hollingsworth continued to progress in 2013, taking fourth at the FIS World Cup event staged at the new Olympic venue in Sochi, Russia. She also beat tough weather and competitors at the Burton European Open to take third.

ELLERY SAYS
I feel good about the season I just had. My riding feels better than ever. I'm confident that with a hard training schedule this spring/summer/fall, I’ll be ready for the Olympic Qualifiers come December. It would be an honor to represent USA at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

FIRST TRACKS
She started snowboarding when she was six years old at Vermont's Bromley Mountain. "My brothers had been snowboarding for a few years, and looking up to them, I always wanted to do what they were doing. Jeb convinced my mom to let me snowboard (first board was a red and orange K2 90)."

OFF THE SNOW
Look for Hollingsworth traveling, surfing and spending time in Southern California. She says “I love bonfires during Thanksgiving with my cousins. I love cooking soup with my Momma in Vermont. I love skydiving and reading...not at the same time. And I really, really love Newfoundland dogs.”
